I was wondering if you can us free mcboot on the ps3 that plays ps2 games? No. Fmcb exploits the ps2 ability to load drivers and firmware off the memory card port. Ps3 doesn't have that function, and doesn't have a ps2 main menu. You have to use cfw for such things. You can use OPL on a BC PS3 if that's what you are looking for.
Nov 26, 2023 路 It depends on your modchip. Free McBoot v1.93 is more likely to work with your modchip than Free McBoot v1.8. Try both of them. SNES Station can be played from a DVD (maybe even a CD). You can even fill the disc with ROMs. Its even ESR compatible so you can ESR patch it and play it from a DVD on Free McBoot without having to do a swap trick.
